Dr. West grew up in Orlando, Florida. After spending a year studying abroad in London, England, he returned to Tennessee to complete his degree in Business Administration. After graduating from undergraduate, he went on to complete his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in management. After working for several years in business, he decided to pursue his passion of working with his hands to help others. Dr. West attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). He graduated near the top of his class academically and clinically. After graduating in 2013, Dr. West and his family moved to Wilmington, NC to begin private practice. Dr. West, his wife, and two young sons enjoy the outdoors that coastal NC provides, such as boating and fishing. Dr. West continues to further his learning by staying current on new topics in dentistry though a broad category of continuing education. Dr. West's passion towards dentistry and helping others has led him to practice full time in Wilmington and Surf City.
Dr. Moore grew up in Beaufort, NC. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2009 with a B.S. in Physics. Afterward, he attended dental school at Boston University, receiving his DMD degree in 2013. After that, he returned to North Carolina to complete a one year general practice residency at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and Vidant Medical Center. By great chance, a dental student knew of a new practice opening in Surf City, and the opportunity to live and work in a coastal town similar to where he grew up is what drew him to Seaside Dental Center when it first opened in 2014.
"I live in Wyoming, but I have family in North Carolina, and I knew Dr. Hamilton in Wilmington. Rather than use a local dentist that I did not know, I traveled all the way across the country for Dr. Hamilton to work on my teeth.
I had not been to the dentist since childhood, but at 48 years old, I could no longer avoid getting dental help. Four years ago, I broke a molar, and I simply lived with the broken tooth rather than having to face a dentist. But recently, on the other side of my jaw, I developed a very painful abscessed molar that could not be ignored.
Dr. Hamilton was able to save both of my molars, even the one that had been broken four years ago. He made the whole experience (root canals, tooth rebuilding and crowns) completely un-traumatic; in fact, after I saw how careful and easy he was with the first tooth, I actually dozed off several times while he was working on the second tooth.
My teeth now feel great, and I can chew without being cautious or apprehensive about when the next jolt of pain will occur. But best of all, the whole experience has left me wondering why I avoided going to the dentist for so many years. I plan on scheduling a regular checkup with Dr. Hamilton when I visit my family in North Carolina."
